Jobs at Mcdonalds are worthy of consideration no matter what your current situation may be!

Certain Points Can Give You An Advantage

If you want to apply for Mcdonalds online and hope to get an interview there are a few key points to consider so you can have the absolute best chance at receiving a call back from them within a relatively short period of time.

As human beings in today's fairly advanced technological world, we are accustomed to having almost anything at our fingertips and ever since the invention of online job applications, it seems we have failed miserably at getting down to the very basics of our job hunting journeys. We can click here or there and find any type of Mcdonalds job openings or other jobs in our preferred fields by using any of the job search engines available to us and we can fill out and submit an online application anywhere we want at the drop of a hat.

However, if this is the right or best way to approach landing a job then why do so many of us come away frustrated that we never got a call back from the company? After all, we invested about 25 minutes to complete their application and we can't believe they never called us!

Why You Need to Apply to Mcdonalds in Person

Think about that for just a moment. 25 minutes is how long it took us to apply online. Using conventional methods, it would have taken us about 1 hour to get ready to visit the company of our choice and another hour to get there in rush hour traffic on a Monday morning. Does anybody remember how people used to treat Mondays as the job finding day because many people would visit these companies when they opened up in the morning and oftentimes the position was filled by 10 AM, and the person who got the job was the first one that walked in?

We have become a little lazy and we take things for granted when we search for jobs. Why not apply for Mcdonalds using an old tried and true method like perhaps, visiting the restaurant itself and meeting the management staff? This is exactly the best way to go about trying to gain Mcdonalds employment and here is why; most Mcd's are franchise-owned and that means a regular person owns it! This, in turn, opens up the door for anyone looking to establish some type of connection or rapport before applying.

Networking is more important these days than ever because of the shortage of jobs available. Did you know there are currently, on average, 10 times more people applying for the same job you are hoping to land than about 4 years ago? This means you have no choice but to apply for Mcdonalds online only after you have visited them in person if you really hope to get hired.

How to Make An Application For Mcdonalds Successful

So, how can one make sure their application for Mcdonalds gets taken seriously? The answer should be as plain as the nose on your face if you read the few paragraphs above. You need to visit them in person and here's how you do it:

  1. Make a list of 2 to 4 area Mcdonalds you can consider for a job and list them in the order of importance. Make business cards with your name, phone number, and email address so you can distribute these to whomever you meet at McD's.
  2. When you have assembled a list, you are now going to make preparations to visit them one by one and introduce yourself to each and every management staff. You will do this by picking out a nice set of clothing which is not too over the top (remember, this will not be your interview). Your goal here is to make a great first impression so they can remember you.
  3. Visit 2 of the restaurants on the first day (Monday) between the hours of 10:45 AM and 11:30 AM. The reason for this is you will want to meet the manager or possibly the owner, and at 10:30 AM is when most Mcdonald's stop serving breakfast while getting ready for the lunch crowd.
  4. Once you meet the important person, introduce yourself, let them know who you are and why you are there, and inquire about possible openings. Be your personable self and make it short and sweet so they can get back to work on other things, thank them for their time, and ask them if you can fill out an application right on the spot. They might tell you to apply for Mcdonalds online or they might let you apply right then and there; either way; hand them your business card and let them know you will be following up within a few days (this lets them know you are very serious about getting a job with them).
  5. Repeat the same process for every other Mcdonald's restaurant you want to consider and use the same routine for other fast food place with the exception of adjusting the times you will visit them. for example, the best time to approach a Wendy's would be 9 to 10:00 AM.

The most important point to remember when applying anywhere is that people love to hire a person they know a little something about or one who is at least a little familiar to them rather than anybody off the street who they know nothing about except the impressive resume that sits on their desk. It really is "who you know" that gets your foot in the door of success on a consistent basis. So, your job is to get to know them. After that, there should be no problem if you have to apply for Mcdonalds online; they will remember you!

Great 'Hubful' of information. I especially like the idea of business cards. The average person would not think of this when applying for a position at McDonalds, especially for a non-management position. I would like to make this information available to some of the people I come in contact with on a daily basis, with your permission of course.I await your reply. I voted this up and useful oh so useful.

Absolutely, annaw. I'm glad you found it useful. It's those little details that make a difference; you only get one chance to make a great first impression, even for an entry-level job.

Thanks for your reply. I would still like very much to share this information with others. As for myself I am long past working in fast food, unless of course I am considering a franchise, which I am not, but I run into people on a daily basis that are unable to get noticed and/or hired for companies such as McDonalds. Thanks again for your reply
